How We Serve Colorado

Colorado’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) supports the Division of the Colorado National Guard (CONG and COANG) in delivering land, air, space, and cyber power in support of state and federal operations; enables the Division of Veterans Affairs to deliver high quality service to the State’s Veterans and their families; and oversees the operations of the Colorado Wing of the Civil Air Patrol in delivering aerospace education and emergency services.

The Colorado Wing (COWG) of the Civil Air Patrol operates in the Rocky Mountain Region. COWG is comprised of 39 squadrons in four groups across Colorado. There are three types of squadrons: Cadet, Composite and Senior.

Aira Assistance for People Who Are Blind or Have Low Vision

Aira is now available to people who are blind and low-vision when accessing Colorado State government locations and digital services. Aira provides visual interpreters for free for up to 30 minutes per session. Learn more on the Governor’s Office of Information Technology website.
