Current Human Resource News:
Public Service Loan Forgiveness Waiver Opportunity

On Oct. 6, 2021, the U.S. Department of Education announced a change to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program rules as a result of the COVID-19 national emergency. Throughout the pandemic, the U.S. Department of Education has provided a variety of benefits to borrowers.
Now, for a limited period of time, borrowers may receive credit for past payments made on loans that would otherwise not qualify for PSLF. This is great news for State of Colorado Employees. Any prior payment will count as a qualifying payment regardless of type of federal loan, repayment plan, or whether payment was made in full or on-time. You can receive forgiveness even if you are not working at a qualifying employer at the time of application and forgiveness.
Please visit the Federal Student Aid website for a complete listing of new rules around qualifying payments, waiver requirements, the employment verification process, and more.
Free RTD/EcoPass Requests
All State employees are eligible for free RTD/EcoPasses. To request an RTD/EcoPass, please reach out to the Human Resources office directly at 720-250-1520. Human Resources will enter you into the system, complete a form to give to you. You then must visit one of the EcoPass Photo Center Locations and you will be issued an RTD/EcoPass. These are employee-only passes, and not family passes. Volunteers, temporaries, out-of-state, retired, and terminated employees are not eligible for the pass.
